Blue Force Tracker

We spent today, Monday 7/23, learning the software that tracks good guys and bad guys. We are able to bring up terrain maps that highlight various vehicles or groups of soldiers in near real time. We can also show them on highly detailed satellite images. Very cool, but I doubt I will ever be called on to actually use it.

Today's word in Dari is tashakur, which means Thank You.

I hope y'all are seeing the latest postings. I can only see up through my 7/15 posting when I go to the URL, even though my post editor shows everything since has published and even has comments. I assume it's due to the excessive restrictions placed on Army computers (can't even put pictures from my camera anymore since about a week ago). If you can see my postings after the 7/15 date, shoot me an email at deschere@med.wayne.edu. Tashakur!
