Yesterday we learned care and maintenance of the Hummer including towing. We got to change a tire, only 240# worth. Today we did three things:
1. Prep checks on a Humvee which taught where the controls are.
2. Rollover escape drills. Each of us got 3 turns in a Hummer cab that was then flipped upside down. We then had to unbuckle, reorient, open the door (>200#) and get out. Lots of bruises.
3. We each qualified to drive the Hummers. This involved about 40 minutes of driving through mud, water, up and down steep slopes, over ruts, in ruts, over hill over dale we will hit the dusty trail, but no caissons. Had a blast. Tonight we return after dark and drive using our night vision goggles. Cool!
